Superheroification

The 2020s is the age of superheroification. The best thing you can do for your future, right now, is find an archetype and start playing it as a character on the Internet.

Because the Internet is increasingly upstream of the real world. And on the Internet you can be whoever you want, to the degree that you put in the work to embody that character.

As you become your super identity, your behavior radiates into the memesphere. Your actions cause others to imitate your actions. Sometimes it will feel they are dragging you down, like crabs in a bucket. Sometimes it will feel like you are pulling them all up with you.

There are huge risks. The guru/cult phenomenon is easy to fall into. And the development of superpowers can become an end in itself, rather than a necessary struggle along the path to creating a better world.

But the choice, in the near future, will be this: people have superpowers. Will you unleash your own? And then: what do you do with them? What world do you create?
