Every day I’m more convinced that Terra Ignota will be seen as the defining sci-fi series of the 2020s.
My house is a mixed hive bash: my girlfriend is Humanist. The cat is a villainous Blacklaw.
On July 18, my cofounder and I threw a party at the Vivarium of San Francisco, and we got hundreds of people together to birth Utopia. We wore Utopian cloaks and visors. We had U-beasts and Cannerbeat and at least one Infinite To-Do List. We recited The Oath.
Some people cannot imagine taking an oath like this. That tells you more about their lack of imagination than about the limits of human potential.
